The Susan Constant floats through the beautiful river basin. Trees line the waterway on both sides, and the breeze pulls the branches to give the foreign visitors a welcome wave. Openings between the trees expose strange animals jumping through the tall grass. Flowers adorn the riverbed, and their lovely odor soothes the passing sailors.
Alexa stood, then regarded Nathan with a gleam in her eye. “I must be going. I promised Father I will play poker with him. He enjoys practicing with me before his weekly game with his friends. He never beats me. I’m good at disguising my bluffs.” She scanned the lobby, then brushed her fingertips across his cheek. “Mr. Gowar, you never know; you may have met your match.”
At the summit, one angel sensed evil and spotted a demon at the nearby oasis observing the confused beings confined within Samael’s mind. With a mighty blow, she freed the souls from the demon’s clutches. The Lord answered their prayers as they coughed and struggled to rinse away the stench, along with the vile flavor of living inside the monster’s nature.

This journey began in 2018. A bucket list project to complete when I retired. This vision has resulted in not one, but several novels. Hopefully, each one will be better than the last. Fasten your seat belts and join us for the ride. My goal is for you to wipe the tears from your eyes, laugh, and say, “Wow, I didn’t expect that.”
